Welcome to The Malt Barn

The Malt Barn restaurant is situated in Newton of Falkland, in the Howe of Fife. A semi-retirement project for hotelier Ernst van Beusekom, The Malt Barn offers the same variety of choice and quality of food and service for which his hotels were so well known. Unlike many modern fine-dining restaurants, there are no restrictive set menus and almost no preparation of food in advance. Every dish is cooked freshly to order using the best quality ingredients (locally sourced and organic wherever possible) and all the baking is done in-house. It is also currently the only restaurant in Scotland to offer flambé cooking at the table.

Times of opening are (Thursday - Sunday inclusive):

• Lunchtime: From 11.00 (last orders for lunch 2.00)
• Evening: From 6.00 (last orders for dinner 8.00)
• High Teas: Sundays from 5 pm.
